Snow Report 18th March 2008

After long sunny spell in February snow has returned to Serre Chevalier with over 30cm falling in the last 10 days. More heavy falls are forecast this week for the Easter holiday and even more next week after the weekend. On top of the 215cm of snow already on the mountain it looks as if there will be plenty of snow right to the end of the season in mid April!

Snow Report 19th January 2008

A further 1 metre of snow has fallen this week so that there is now over 2.4m on the mountain and conditions are perfect both on and off piste for all levels of skiers. The Times this Saturday rates Serre Chevalier as the best resort for snow in France at present!

Snow Report 8th January 2008

The last weekend has seen a further fall of over 20cm on the mountain and conditions are almost the best in France with over 160cm on the mountain and 40cm at village level. Ask about availabilty in our apartments and chalet in February and March.

Snow Report 7th December 2007

Serre Chevalier has since mid November had over 1.5 metres of snow, more than most resorts in France and about 4 times the average snowfall for this time of the year! In consequence the resort is opening early for this weekend in Monetier and then expects to be fully open on the 15th December. More snow is forecast this weekend and skiers in December should be able to enjoy an unprecedented amout of snow before Christmas.
