Travel by Air
For the independent traveller there are cheap flights to Turin, Nice, Grenoble, and Lyon. There are flights to Turin from London Gatwick (British Airways), London Stansted (Ryanair) and Luton (Easyjet).
Turin is the nearest. It is a modern spacious airport just off the main autostrada well placed for driving to Serre Chevalier. There is a good choice of car hire companies for self drive. Make sure that your hire car has winter tyres or has snow chains available. This is a legal requirement for driving in the mountains in winter.
Airport Transfers
For groups of six persons or more we can arrange private transfers form Turin airport direct to the chalet with CTA airport taxis. Please ask for a quote. Alternatively the Alpine Transfer Company based in Serre Chevalier offer both private and shared transfers from Turin, Grenoble and Lyon airports. There are also public service buses running daily directly to and from Grenoble railway station operated by VFD (see their timetable) and which can be booked on line through www.bus-et-clic.com. There is a special airport navette to and from the station.
